Hawks Tier II Travel
2025/26 season

Haverford Hawks
For 50 years, the Haverford Hawks Ice Hockey club has been promoting and organizing youth ice hockey in Delaware and Montgomery counties. Through the sport of ice hockey, “the Hawks” are one of the last community-based travel ice hockey clubs in the region consisting of teams in age groups ranging from 6 years old up to 18 years. We have taught not only hockey skills but respect for peers, coaches, officials and community through our annual fundraiser.
Club hockey is also known as travel hockey. The Hawks play in the Atlantic Hockey Federation ("AHF"). It is a USA Hockey Sanctioned Elite Tier-II Youth Hockey League that facilitates games throughout the United States for its members and families. Committed to providing high-quality league games, the AHF caters to over 50 member-owned clubs, spanning AA divisions for age groups 8u to 18u. Additionally, the league offers A/B hockey at the 10u, 12u, and 14u age groups, as well as 16uA and 18uA/AA levels.
For Haverford Hawk 8u players and above, they will play teams in PA, NJ, NY, MD and VA. For a list of those teams: Organizations - Atlantic Hockey Federation
The season starts in August with practices, games start in September and the season finishes in early February, with championships following.
Our players throughout the years have learned sportsmanship, promoted physical and emotional health, and provided them to participate in a team sport that we at the Haverford Hawks think is the best sport there is - ice hockey.

Team Placement
How will I know my team?
Throughout 8U/10U/12U Evaluations and 13U and above Tryouts, the club will place players on teams. At any time during the process, players will receive an email informing you of your team. The club expects players to attend all Evaluation/Tryout sessions.
IMPORTANT: Do not share your placement until teams are published on our website. Sharing your placement before that time may forfeit your placement.
USA Hockey sets the rules and over the years, the Hawks have tried different team placement methods. We have found this method to be best for the club balancing size of team and skill. We understand that Evaluations/Tryouts can be stressful for everyone involved. It is important that everyone respects our policy not to share team placement until they are published on our website.
